My first exposure to tattoos was my father’s tattoos from his time in the marines. I recall a particular tattoo of an undead soldier, standing over a grave, on his torso. Years later, I began to realize how this image would have impacted me. As a reclusive teenager, I sought solace through heavy metal music and the obscure.

Born and raised in Ohio throughout my later teenage and early adulthood, I began getting tattooed. Entering into the tattoo industry in 2005, after years of getting tattooed, I was given an opportunity to apprentice at 252 Tattoo in Cleveland, Ohio. A bond had developed between myself and artist/owner Rodney Rose. Unaware at the time that these years spent simply getting tattooed, would be the genius of my path into the world of tattooing.

With no formal training or background in art, I relied on and was fortunate to work alongside many seasoned tattooers to aid in my understanding of this craft. Overseeing a great deal of management and the inner workings of the shop, it was there I learned the fundamentals of customer care, organization, and accountability. Through early exposure to traditional values and ethics in tattooing, I gravitated towards painting tattoo flash rooted in classic concepts of a clean design, with bold lines, dark shading, and solid color.

Relocating to Washington state in late 2023, I felt a need to challenge myself both personally and professionally. Having a fondness for the outdoors and nature, finding Unknown Tattoo Co. located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest seemed to be an omen that had come to pass.

Aside from tattooing, my interests include painting, playing guitar, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and exercising.
